Our Video Game Comics series wraps up with “Injustice: Gods Among Us.” This comic, written by Tom Taylor with art from Jheremy Raapack, sets the stage for DC’s one-on-one fighting game. The story creates an alternate universe where Batman can face off against Wonder Woman and the Flash can fight Superman. But is that even really necessary? Do we need a whole comic book series to set up a video game? Maybe not, but we’re pleasantly surprised by the outcome here. Strap on your headphones for a listen while we take you to the Quiver and punch some people really far away. For more information on past or future shows, visit www.AtomicPoweredSuperCast.com!

Our video game comics series continues as we read “World of Warcraft” by Walt Simonson. We get our wish from the last episode: an ongoing comic book series set in a video game universe. How does this comic hold up to the game’s lore? Are the characters compelling even though we’ve never met them before? What’s up with that Blood Elf’s crotch shot? All I know is that somebody along way probably would have recognized Lo’Gosh as something other than croc-bait. For more information on past or future shows, visit www.AtomicPoweredSuperCast.com!

Our Morrison vs. Miller arc wraps up with Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Strikes Again.” In this story, we return to the word created in “The Dark Knight Returns,” three years after the faked death of Bruce Wayne. This time, Bruce sets out to bring back all the other heroes and take on their tyrannical, oppressive government — a government so insidious that the news is given to you naked and superchix musicians in spandex lead a rebellion. If that sounds wacky, that’s because it is. I get the feeling that this comic will live on in infamy. For more information on past for future shows, visit www.AtomicPoweredSuperCast.com!
