Philosophy Warning

This post is just a general warning to my readers — on the old JollyAndy.com, I more or less kept the topic of philosophy (a passion of mine) off the blog. Generally, I find people to consider philosophy boring, unnecessarily erudite, and a luxury afforded by only those with too much time on their hands. All of this is, for the most part, true. But there’s something about philosophy I rather like — it sparks debate for the sake of debate, and makes you think for the sake of thinking. There’s something inherently positive and useful to it even though it’s nothing more than sitting around arguing and postulating.

So don’t be surprised if, from time to time, you see a post here that doesn’t pertain to technology, the internet, or media. Occasionally, it’s required that we put a little more thought into a subject than the superficial “OMG WTF, this is so cool” post. Though, I’m certianly not going to stop posting those, either. Hope you enjoy what’s coming.
